Feelin' Oogie

You know that feeling when you wake up, and you just don't feel good? Well that is how I feel right now. I woke up with my husbands alarm at 7 and instead of getting up and starting my day, I went right back to sleep. I didn't wake up until 10! WHAT?!? I feel like a teenager! I still don't feel 100% but I am going to push through it. The plan was to run today so I am going to. No excuses. (DAILY GOAL WAS JUST ANNOUNCED, BTW)

Funny story: I didn't work out yesterday. The plan was to get up, run, then go to a strength training class, but I woke up too late. (I wasn't feeling so great yesterday either.) I figured it would be okay because I was going to go ride my horse last and that does give you a workout. I got to the arena last night and opened the door to the trailer. Sid, having gotten unhooked, backed out as fast as he could and started trotting down the street. I swear I could hear him laughing at me the whole way. I walked as fast as I could to catch up (I couldn't run at him...he would have started loping and that would have been really dangerous because his lead rope was dragging on the ground and he could have stepped on it and tripped.) hoping that the tasty grass on the side of the road would entice him to stop, but nope, he just kept going. Finally, he turned off the road and into someone's grove of Christmas trees. There were some horses over there that I guess we wanted to say hi to. They said their hellos and I thought I would be able to catch him then, but no, he took off again, through the yard and into a small little pasture area. I was finally able to corner him, walk him back to the trailer and get him saddled up. Point of the story, I did end up getting my cardio in.

OKAY. I'm up! I'm going to the gym. Then I'm taking the car back to the shop (grumble grumble grumble) and I am going to have a nice, productive day. Thank goodness for warm weather, and thank goodness for the sun!

Oh yeah! I signed up for a 5k next saturday. I checked out the results from last year, and I think I could actually have a chance at placing in my age group! (it's a small race.) So I'm going to shoot for that.

Happy Friday everyone!
