I made a sort of goal this year that I was going to sign up for a race a month all year to help keep me training.

So far I have:

June: ?
July: Park City Mountain 5k (Third year in a row)
Deseret News 10k
August: ?
September: The Dirty Dash (SO excited about this one!)
October: The Halloween Half (Will be working up to this one all year)
November: ?
December: The Winter Sun 10k in Moab (Also the 3rd year in a row)

Remember when a 5k seemed like the impossible dream? Now, with three 10k's under my belt, they even seem doable. It's the half marathon that scares me. I know I can do it! Last year I signed up for the Halloween Half but gave up my training due to pretty severe shin splints. This year I am taking it slow and working up to my long runs.

If you hear of any races in those missing months let me know. I would love to run a race in California, Washington or Oregon. Anyone want to join me?

PS Last year I told myself that I couldn't run at night so I didn't. Well I just totally proved myself wrong! Yee-haw!

Here's the list-
1-We moved from the city to the country! I am in heaven!
2-I started a new job as a waitress
3-I gave up carbonation and caffeine for Lent
4-I started Weight Watchers again
5-I've started running again

Ok, so there aren't that many changes BUT a new city and a new job are huge!

The new job was certainly a motivator for losing weight . I felt like a stuffed sausage in my work clothes, almost all the girls are skinny little toothpicks, and, shallow as it sounds, hot girls get better tips.

So, here I go again. I don't really know how this blog is going to go now. It will probably be a simple update once or twice a week, but I miss having this as a journal. I miss your support, too.

I'm excited to start running again and I'm starting slow to stop any injuries before they start. I ran three times this week for time instead of distance. I am posting my runs on Nike+ website and I love it! I am planning to sign up for one race a month to keep me in training for the Halloween Half Marathon in October.

I've had some major life changes and now I am back to working on me again. I think I am going to start posting again. I am also going to change the name of my blog because it no longer applies. Watch for the changes!
